CAN I INSTALL THE SCREEN MYSELF?
Due to manufacturer warranty guidelines and the customization of each door and window, a factory trained technician must install your screen.

Absolutely! Each Phantom screen is customized 100%, if you want it, we’ll provide it.

WHAT IF I HAVE PETS?
Phantom products are not designed to restrict pets from entering or exiting, and are not intended to provide security of objects, animals, or persons inside your dwelling. The primary function of a Phantom Screen is to administer protection from invasive outdoor insects while preserving the look of your door or window. The design, however, diminishes the possibility of damage if a pet accidentally impacts the mesh material.

WHAT TYPE OF MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED?
- When not in use, the Phantom Screen should be retracted into the protective housing.
- When rolling the screen into the housing, ensure that the mesh rolls up evenly.
- Ensure that the tracks are kept free of dirt and debris, which may cause the door to perform poorly. Cleaning the tracks and lubricating them with a greaseless silicone spray can restore smooth operation.
- Mesh may be washed with a soft brush and a mild soap and water mixture.
- Do not push on the mesh to release the magnet. This safety feature releases the slide bar from the magnet if the mesh is lightly bumped into, however, continual abuse will affect how the door operates.
- Mesh may blow out of the track in windy conditions.
- It is normal for the mesh to “sail” in certain windy conditions. This may cause the mesh to pull out of the track, however, when the wind subsides the mesh will return against the track.
- Insect screens are intended to provide reasonable insect control and are not intended to provide retention and/or security of animals, or persons inside or outside your dwelling.

CAN THE SCREENS BE LOCKED?
That depends. We offer a latch as an accessory and it does not work for every door type. The latch is NOT included in the price of a Phantom Screen. Please contact our sales representative to find out if a latch will work for your unique door application. Remember, a Phantom Screen is NOT designed to restrict passage, it’s #1 job is to keep those pesky bugs out!

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
Phantom Manufacturing offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser against defects in the material. The word “defects”, as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections, which impair the utility of the product. The warranty expressly excludes screen mesh.

The warranty applies under conditions of normal non-commercial use. The limited lifetime warranty does not apply to:
- Mesh and mesh components
- Asserted defects caused by modifications, misuse, abuse, or improper handling or maintenance of the screen
- Accidents and/or acts of God
- Use of product in commercial applications
WHAT COLOR CHOICES ARE THERE?
One of the benefits of choosing Phantom Screens is the wide array of color choices. On top of the 8 Standard colors, Phantom also offers 50 Custom Colors, and 10 Wood Grain (simulated wood) Stain choices.
